Bagra is one of the 44 union councils of Haripur District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.[1] It is located south east of the district capital, Haripur.[2]
The main tribe of the area is the Jadoon tribe while the other tribes are Jodhras( Rajputs)Mughal (Lal khail) Qutab Shahi (Awan). The Jadoons are the dominant tribe in Union Council and the town and Jodhras are in majority in Baldher. A majority of Jadoons live in Nika Pah and Bagra. Jadoons migrated from Chamnaka and Karaki.
Most of the people's profession is agriculture. Maize and wheat are the most cultivated crops of the area. The jadoons have the political power here, education has made great progress in the village in last 10 years and that is why schools have increased both in Public and Private sectors. In sports, Cricket is the dominant game played here. The villages have Hujras or guest houses. Other union councils close to bagra are Baldher, Maqsood, Teeran. Local language is Hindko in the area.
